Can I Get A Napkin, Please?

27 July 2010

Imagine you're in a mall, munching away at your lunch in a foodcourt. In such public places everyone behaves as inconspicuous as possible, western culture dictates that everyone minds their own business and do not attract the attention beyond the people sharing their table.

It's in those places that street performers pick their victims. People give money more easily because that's what's expected from them, instead of rewarding a mime for his ridiculous performance.

And what happens when someone breaks the unwritten rules of behaviour where everyone keeps to their own island? That's what happens in the next movie.

It's an act from the 'Improv Everywhere' group, but it's more of an act than an improvisation. Other projects from them have more of an flash-mobby character than anything else. Whatever it is, I love it.
